Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems to Unveil 2009 Charm for 24-Hour Charity Cycling Event July 10-11

.

CHARLOTTE - Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems will be hosting an unveiling party for the 2009 edition of the “Booty Charm” that it is creating for this year’s 24 Hours of Booty charity cycling events in Charlotte and Columbia, Md. The public event will take place on Friday, July 10 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Donald Haack Diamonds located at 4611 Sharon Road across from SouthPark mall.

Designed by Donald Haack Diamonds’ Master Goldsmith and 24 Hours of Booty rider, Russell McKenzie, the silver charms cost $45 each and can be used as a key chain, pendant or as a backpack or saddlebag tag. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of each “Booty Charm” will benefit 24 Hours of Booty. The “Booty Charm” may be purchased at the Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems store or at The 24 Hours of Booty on July 24 and 25. For more information, contact info@donaldhaack.com or 704-365-4400.

People interested in purchasing the “Booty Charm” in person at Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems can also bring in gold to sell and use the proceeds toward the purchase of the charm.

“Being involved in 24 Hours of Booty and creating the ‘Booty Charm’ is a team effort every step of the way. We enjoy being given the opportunity to design the second annual Booty Charm, an original piece that commemorates each year of this event, supports a tremendous cause, and that symbolizes the fight against cancer,” said Julie Haack, president of Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems, a bronze-level sponsor of 24 Hours of Booty, Inc.

“We appreciate Donald Haack Diamonds’ continued support of 24 Hours of Booty. They have done an amazing job creating a unique and versatile piece that reflects the event’s brand and image and that has broad-based appeal for our supporters and participants,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of 24 Hours of Booty, Inc.
