Spencer Lueders - Founder, Vice-Chair
Spencer Lueders is an entrepreneur and thought leader with a passion for bikes and changing the conversation about cancer. A practicing sports, real estate, and intellectual property lawyer in Charlotte, NC, Spencer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and later a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina. Spencer is seen as a connector in the legal and business communities from his many years of law practice and business experience, including more than half a decade as an attorney with NASCAR, Inc., where he oversaw the legal aspects of NASCAR’s competition, racing operations, substance abuse policy, and R&D efforts. Spencer served as chairman of special projects in the inaugural class of the LIVESTRONG Young Leaders Council and currently serves on the LIVESTRONG Revenue Committee. Spencer and his wife, Susan, are the first members of the LIVESTRONG Presidents Circle. An avid cyclist for over 20 years, Spencer holds a USA Cycling Category II license. Spencer and Susan have 3 children and reside in Charlotte, NC.
Giordana Andretta, Secretary
Giordana Andretta is the Sales Coordinator for Gita Sporting Goods, importer and wholesale distributor of high quality bicycle equipment and soft goods. Ms. Andretta is a native Charlottean and graduate of Charlotte Country Day School and North Carolina State University. She is the 1998 Class Captain of Country Day’s Young Alumni Selwyn Society and sits on the Executive Committee of local non-profit, The Foundation for Tomorrow. Giordana began her participation in 24 Hours of Booty in 2005 and helped form Team Gita Riding for Patrick in 2006. Giordana and Team Gita have contributed to 24 Hours of Booty through the Bottoms Up for Booty annual fundraiser and have been proud to be among the top ten fundraising teams for the last four years, making the top three in 2011.
Jeanne Dornbos, Treasurer
Jeanne Dornbos retired from banking in 2007 after twenty-one years in the industry. Her career focus was corporate accounting and external reporting, retiring from her last position as Senior Vice President and CFO of Risk Management at Wachovia. Prior to her banking career, Ms. Dornbos was a CPA in Michigan and taught accounting at Western Michigan University. Ms. Dornbos received a BA majoring in economics from the University of Michigan and a MS in accountancy from Western Michigan University. In Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ms. Dornbos was active in a number of civic and educational volunteer organizations. Ms. Dornbos is a five year cancer survivor and has two adult sons.
Jeffrey S. Kneisl, M.D.
Jeffrey S. Kneisl, M.D. is the Medical Director, Surgical Oncology Services, Levine Cancer Institute, Carolinas Healthcare System. Dr. Kneisl received his education at Northwestern University School of Medicine (BS, MD), completed his internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, CA, and his orthopedic surgery residency training at Northwestern University Medical School. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic oncology at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Sandy Morgart, Chair
Ms. Morgart is the Leadership Development Manager for Bank of America’s Global Technology and Operations division. She is accountable for partnering with the business and HR partners to grow and develop the leadership bench, optimize organizational design and effectiveness to drive business results, executive coaching, strategic planning and managing people’s performance through assessment, coaching and feedback. Since 2004, she has played an integral role in the success of the Bank of America 24 Hours of Booty team. The Bank of America team has been one of the top three fundraising teams every year. Sandy has been the #1 top fundraiser since 2010, raising more than $120,000 in just three years and she co-chaired the inaugural Jeans & Jewels fundraising gala in support of 24 Hours of Booty. Sandy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and is Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt certified.
Dawn Newsome
Dawn Newsome is co-founder of Moonlight Creative Group, an award winning advertising and marketing agency. She holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design, as well as an MBA from Queens University where she was an Entrepreneurial Leadership Fellow. Dawn is the past chair of the McColl School Alumni Association Board of Directors, serves on the board of Leadership Charlotte and is the VP of Communications on the board of Women Executives. She has volunteered for 24 Hours of Booty since 2010 and participates in a top fundraising team. Dawn lives in Charlotte with her husband and two dogs.
Charlie Pitts
Charlie Pitts is the President of Cigna of the Carolinas. Mr. Pitts is responsible for external operations in North Carolina and South Carolina and oversees the sales team to foster and deepen the relationships with employers, providers, brokers and consultants in the region. Mr. Pitts holds a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and a master's in business administration from the University of Alabama. Mr. Pitts, an advocate of health and wellness, can be found on the Booty Loop in Charlotte several mornings a week. He is also is a member of the Charlotte Rotary Club and has served as a director of Charlotte's BRIDGE Jobs program, served as director of the North Carolina Association of Health Plans and as chairman of the American Heart Association's Heart and Stroke Walk.
