78 percent of goal achieved.

Goal: $5,000.00
Achieved: $3,921.00

That's pretty much what it feels like to ride a unicyle at the 24 Hours of Booty.  With all of the support from other riders and the awesome crowds of people that come out to cheer the riders on, it's practically 24 hour of an adrenaline rush.

But not everyone can ride a unicycle, or a bike, or even a tricycle...  Cancer patients may not have the strength or endurance to do simple things that we all take for granted.  The challenges of their disease is like riding into a constant head wind.  The forces of nature are tirelessly working against them.

The purpose of 24HoB is to provide a little lift to cancer patients.  If they really MUST be riding into a head wind let's smooth out their journey, just a little bit, by taking some of the bumps out of the road.

My goal is simple: To raise $5000.00 and have a little fun along the way.  I know I can do it because my supporters last year showed me just how generous they are.

Booty Cutz, A cure for Gray: Wouldn't it be nice if the cure for cancer was as simple as the cure for gray hair?  Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Once I hit $2500 (50 percent of goal) OR my team reaches it's 50 percent goal ($5000)  I will get a mohawk (aptly renamed "booty-hawk") hair cut AND color it pink.  Cancer is serious stuff and deserves a serious effort to support the cause.

The pink mohawk was such a great conversation ice-breaker last year that I am fully confident that it will get me the next $2500 on its own.

There are tons of fund raising events that are equally worthy of your precious tax deductible contribution.  But you will not have many opportunities to unleash a Mohawk sportin’, computer jockey unicyclist into the world of Booty chaos.
